Shoplifting Charges at the Galleria Mall in St. Louis, MO - for as little as $450

Most Galleria Mall St Louis Misdemeanor Shoplifting or Theft Charges Can Be Handled for Only $450

Did you get charged recently with shoplifting (or petty theft) while at the Galleria Mall in St. Louis (or any other mall in the St. Louis area)? Was the person who found the lifted items an employee at the Galleria or one of its stores (like a security guard or manager)? Did that individual require that you stay in a certain area and not let you leave? Was the value of the items more or less than $500? Are you now thinking about simply pleading guilty to the charge? Are you aware of the consequences of doing such a thing? Do you know what the benefits are of hiring an experienced attorney to help you?

We Want to Get the Missouri Shoplifting Charge Reduced So That It Does Not Show Up on Your Record!!

It is an unfortunate truth that most people who are charged with petty theft / shoplifting at the Galleria Mall in St. Louis simply plead guilty. They do this because they believe there are no other options available to them. But pleading guilty means that the state can put the charge on your permanent record. This can have a devastating effect on what kind of job you might get in the future (most employers run criminal background checks on potential employees as a way to screen applicants).

Simply Pleading Guilty Is Not Your Best Option!!

In addition, you will also have to deal with the potential sentence that may be handed out to you.

As of January 1, 2017, the following laws regarding stealing / theft / shoplifting went into effect:

  1. If you are caught with goods valuing less than $150, and you have had no prior stealing-related charges, it is a Class D Misdemeanor
  2. If you are caught with goods valuing between $150 - $750, it is a Class A Misdemeanor
  3. If you are caught stealing an animal; or if you have been previously found guilty of three 93) stealing-related cases within ten (10) years of the present case, it is a Class E Felony
  4. If you are caught with goods valuing between $750 - $25,000, it is a Class D Felony
  5. If you are caught with goods valuing $25,000 or more, it is a Class C Felony

I've used this firm twice, both for speeding tickets. Both times it was zero hassle: just a matter of giving them the ticket. I've also recommended them to my friends, who have had the same experience. (My friends and I speed a lot.) Highly recommended. I'm sure I'll be back. David Rieken
